What is Lux1064?
This powerful nd:YAG laser handpiece is specifically designed for the removal of unwanted hair in difficult-to-treat areas in patients falling under skin type 5 (brown to dark brown) and type 6 (dark brown to black). In addition, the Lux1064 handpiece is also indicated for the treatment of smaller red vessels and blue reticular leg veins.
How does Lux1064 Work?
The Lux 1064 YAG delivers highly controlled laser energy into the target area. This in turn increases the temperature of the blood within the vessel causing the vessel wall to collapse. Depending on the size of the blood vessel, it can be erased immediately after the treatment or it can take some time for it to fade and be naturally expelled by the body. The laser emitted by the Lux 1064 handpiece also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which are proteins necessary for the maintenance of skin integrity. This ultimately accelerates the healing process and improves skin appearance.
