What is Lumenis Lightsheer ET?

The Lumenis Lightsheer ET is designed for permanent hair removal of small body areas that require maximum precision and higher fluence. With its Sapphire ChillTip spot size of 9 x 9 mm, it can safely and effectively remove unwanted hair on the face, chin, armpit, and gential area.  The device is compatible with Lumenis Duet and Lumenis Infinity base units.

How does Lumenis Lightsheer ET Work?

The Lumenis Lightsheer ET is a diode laser, which means that it uses a narrow spectrum light beam in order to target the melanin (pigment responsible for skin and hair color). Its unique 805 nm diode laser wavelength allows deeper skin penetration and increased melanin absorption. When absorbed by the pigment, the laser energy selectively heats the hair follicle while leaving the surrounding tissue unharmed. Simultaneously, the Lumenis Lightsheer ET handpiece delivers excellent epidermal contact cooling and compression so that the laser energy can effectively penetrate the hair follicle while increasing patient comfort. This ultimately disrupts hair growth and regeneration. With additional treatments, the treated area becomes smoother and hair-free.
